Description

Elite Pro in the large 4–6 in fraction: heat-treated olivine diabase for heaters and wood-burning stoves that are run hard and need mass in the bottom of the basket.

Treated at roughly 1000 °C, these stones take the thermal cycling that splits ordinary rock, and their micropores let moisture out gradually for a softer steam. Use them as the base layer with a smaller fraction on top where the water actually lands.

This is a commercial-grade choice. If the sauna is heated a couple of times a week, standard vulcanite does the same job for a third of the price.
